Is it too late for me to start vlogging? Did I miss the boat? Is vlogging a thing of the past?

Definitely not! Judging by what I can see on YouTube, the grand majority of vloggers manage to get tons of subscribers to their vlog. Some vloggers are great at what they do. They are energetic, funny and entertaining. Others are not so great, and yet they still manage to get many views and several followers.

The other night while out for a walk in downtown Montreal I crossed a woman who had no eyes. In one hand she was holding her white cane while in the other hand she was holding a drink carrier with four large coffees from Tim Hortons. Suffice it to say that she was having a hard time navigating through the crowd.

I heard people in the crowd laugh and comment at the fact that Tim Hortons had given her a drink carrier despite the fact that she was unable to see where she was going with it.

Jade Sambrook is a Sagittarius

I’m a Sagittarius. They say that Sagittarians have a photographic memory – that they will remember events and details from ages ago but that they will forget where they put their keys and wallet only five minutes earlier.

At a recent wedding that I attended, the groomsmen were joking during the speeches about the groom always forgetting where he had last put his iPhone. Out of curiosity, I later asked the groom if he was a Sagittarius and he replied that he was indeed.

In searching for ways to improve the SEO and Google search rankings for my website and blogs I came across a video on YouTube called ‘Why You Should Create A Podcast Within 90 Days!’

This video was actually a convention presentation by Cliff Ravenscraft, who after starting to podcast as a hobby on the topic of his favorite TV show Lost, became a podcasting consultant and is now known as ‘The Podcast Answer Man’.

Just yesterday I wrote a blog post on putting together a smartphone video making kit that could easily fit into a kilt sporran.

Low and behold, on my way home last night from watching my team – the Vancouver Canucks – be eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs by the Calgary Flames, I ran into an unfortunate bar fight that spilled out into the street.

I’ve recently started producing short videos for YouTube using my iPhone 6, and with every video there seems to be some improvement. In fact, as I move forward with these video productions I am planning on there being even more improvement.

As they say, you have to start somewhere, and for the time being that is exactly what I have done. I’m just happy to have at least started. It’s kind of like writer’s block, you just have to get going, and once you do, things just flow from there.

For those that do not know what a lavalier microphone is, also known as a lapel mic, it’s what news desk anchors and talk show hosts have clipped onto their shirt or suit lapel. Generally speaking though, the ones used by TV personalities are both wireless and very expensive.

My Love Affair with Three Striped Adidas Shoes

When it comes to shoes I have an addiction for three striped Adidas. Since I also love gold, well, you guessed right, I love gold coloured Adidas or at the very least those with three stripes of gold.

This does not mean that Jade Sambrook won’t wear anything else, because obviously for certain occasions like going for a jog or a day at the office, three striped Adidas won’t make the cut. Generally speaking though, when it comes to wearing something that is stylish, I opt for the three stripes.

My Experience Getting Under the Table during an Earthquake

Growing up on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, we often hear of the big one, an earthquake so big that the island is simply suppose to sink. Now obviously this might be more hyperbole than fact, but the truth is that Vancouver Island is situated along a major fault line and that one day it is bound to face an earthquake that will register highly on the Richter Scale.
